The Riparian Preserve, Gilbert, Arizona.

This morning I was able to take advantage of an early morning feed and took myself off to the Riparian Preserve. I got there about 5:30 am, but by 9am it was already far too hot for me. Summer is well and truly coming. It was nice, however, to have the place to myself. I only saw one other photographer and he was far too occupied with a cormorant to be bothered about me.

A new lifer for me with a White-winged Dove and plenty of Verdin and Anna's Hummingbirds. The Verdin proved to be fairly elusive as usual but the Anna's were very cooperative!
