I managed to take a trip out today in search of a Roseate Spoonbill that has been sighted close to Buckeye. It was my first photography outing with my son - who slept in his car seat except for a feed and diaper change. The Spoonbill remained elusive, but I think I found every Burrowing Owl in the area. I assume that the monsoon rains have forced them out of their burrows.
Here is a selection of four different Owls, all within 10 miles of my house. As you can see the light is very harsh and difficult to manage. I am planning on making the trip again early tomorrow when the light is a little better.Sunday, October 18, 2020
